"Kissing Kate" for BBG Issue 4

Kate Howat is one of those beautiful "English Roses" that I had wanted to shoot for a while. As she had tempted me with her willingness to climb trees and such to be in issue 5 of Boys by Girls Magazine, I went with having three young men fight for her love instead. Hard to be Kate? I think not.

Katie Eary for Boys by Girls "Lessons"

Katie Eary. Cool, quirky and talented menswear designer extraordinaire. I love her. For many reasons. Although we are in different parts of the fashion world, I'm pretty sure we share some of the same struggles and frustrations. Every time I see her new collection I think, yes, I get you, I've been to a similar place. And she managed to express it in colourful and creative designs that can be worn by trendy young men. I raise my hand to you Katie Eary, and sing that song about happiness. And chocolate.

Felis Feltham for BBG "Lessons"

Last year I flew to Gothenburg, Sweden, just outside Stockholm to shoot Felix Feltham (Nisch Management) for the 5th Boys by Girls Magazine issue "Lessons". It was worth it. We ate meatballs with his family, went for a walk in the Scandinavian woods breathing in the fresh air, looked at his illustrations and talked about the challenges of life.

Travis Smith for BBG "Lessons"

Hawaian boy Travis Smith at Supa Model Management has that kind of powerful, almost majestic aura about him, that makes your jaw drop a little. This shoot for Boys by Girls Issue 5 "Lessons", was quite an impromptu shoot. More about there here.

With nothing but a pair of jeans and sunlight beaming through the window, Travis showed off his power and talents, and graced the pages of the BBG issue.

Max Wallis for Boys by Girls "Lessons"

I love Max and his poetic soul. For Boys by Girls issue 5, I had the pleasure of wandering around East London with him taking polaroids and lomography images whilst catching up about the little things in live.

More about that here.
